During your swing do not look up to anticipate where your ball is going. This will ruin the shot or cause you to miss the ball altogether. Keep your eyes on the ball until you hit it and then look up to see where it is going.

If you have to hit an uphill sand shot you should put the ball forward in your stance. Make a long fluid swing parallel to the slope. By playing the ball forward, you lower the trajectory of the ball and help ensure the ball will carry far enough onto the green to make your putt.

If you are trying to get more distance out of your shot you should point your toes out and widen your stance. Complete the back swing to put your club in the right position. Practicing these techniques will ensure that you will get more distance out of your golf shot.

If you want to increase the distance of your drive, use a ball color that really contrasts against your pants and shoes. When you are looking down at it, you will quickly instinctively think “I need to get this thing out of here”. It’s not about whacking the ball harder, but meshing with your own clothes psychologically so you use your whole body in the swing like you know you should.

Remember to breathe. In the heat of the moment, setting up the perfect shot, remember to take some deep breaths. Many players hold their breath while aiming, which causes them to tense up and can hinder the swing. A few deep breaths will remind you to relax, and keep your movements smooth and supple.

You must have an excellent grip to get the proper swing from a golf club. You can hit many types of shots with a good grip. Concentrate specifically on your glove-hand, as getting this hand’s grip right will greatly improve the accuracy of your shots.

You don’t really need a golf ball to practice a golf swing, so remember to swing away wherever you find a little bit of room. You will get good if you work on keeping the perfect form and making sure you follow through the proper way. You can do this in the backyard or even in the living room. Just don’t break the TV!
